Scotland Host Poland In Group B4 Clash

Scotland host Poland in Group B4 clash

Nations League clash at Hampden Park

Kick-off: 19:45, Thursday 5 September 2024

Scotland will host Poland in a crucial UEFA Nations League Group B4 clash at Hampden Park on Thursday 5 September 2024, with kick-off at 19:45.

The match is part of a triple-header for Steve Clarke's side, who will also face Ukraine at home on 11 September and travel to the Republic of Ireland on 14 September.

Scotland currently sit third in Group B4, level on points with second-placed Poland but with an inferior goal difference.

A win over Poland would put Scotland in a strong position to secure promotion to League A of the Nations League.

Poland, meanwhile, will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record in the group, having drawn with Wales and Ukraine in their opening two matches. The 2022 World Cup knockout round side will be a tough test for Scotland, but Clarke's men will be confident of getting a result in front of their home crowd.

The match is likely to be a sell-out, with tickets going on sale on Friday 7 July.

Scotland will be without Kieran Tierney, Ryan Fraser, and Nathan Patterson through injury, but Scott McTominay and John McGinn are expected to return to the squad.

Poland will be without suspended Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, but Juventus midfielder Arkadiusz Milik is expected to lead the line.
