Roy Makaay: Giménez has been a 'great signing'
Former Feyenoord player Roy Makaay has praised Giménez for his performances since joining Atlético Madrid.
Makaay, who played for Feyenoord from 1997 to 2003, said that Giménez has been a "great signing" for Atlético Madrid.
In an interview with the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Makaay said that Giménez is a "very good defender" who is "strong in the air" and "good with his feet." Makaay continued, "He's also a very good passer of the ball."
Giménez joined Atlético Madrid from Feyenoord in the summer of 2019. He has since become a regular starter for the Spanish club, making over 50 appearances in all competitions.
Makaay believes that Giménez has the potential to become one of the best defenders in the world. He said, "He's still young, but he has all the qualities to be a top player."
