Eurovision Song Contest 2019: Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland Among Top Favorites
Bookmakers Predict Top 10 Finishers
With the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 rapidly approaching, bookmakers are releasing their predictions for which countries are most likely to finish in the top 10. Based on current odds, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland are considered the frontrunners.
Odds-on Favorites
The Netherlands, represented by Duncan Laurence and his song "Arcade," is currently the favorite to win. Sweden, with John Lundvik's "Too Late for Love," and Switzerland, represented by Luca Hänni and "She Got Me," are also high on the betting charts.
Other Contenders
In addition to the top three, seven other countries have odds of less than 10 to 1 to finish in the top 10. These include Italy, Norway, Greece, Cyprus, Australia, Azerbaijan, and Russia.
Eurovision Fans Have Their Say
While bookmakers' predictions are always interesting, the opinions of Eurovision fans are also worth noting. A recent poll conducted by the Eurovision website revealed that Italy, Netherlands, and Sweden are also fan favorites.
First-Time Winner?
With no country having won Eurovision more than twice in a row since Ireland in the early 1990s, the possibility of a first-time winner in 2019 is high. Will one of the frontrunners break the streak, or will an underdog surprise the world?
