Rory McIlroy Leads Final Round at Augusta National
Jon Rahm has emerged triumphant at the 2023 Masters Tournament, becoming the fourth Spaniard to don the coveted green jacket. The final round witnessed an intense battle between Rahm and Brooks Koepka, with Rahm ultimately prevailing by one stroke.
McIlroy held a narrow lead entering the final round, but a series of bogeys and double bogeys on the back nine saw him fall back. Rahm, meanwhile, played a steady and aggressive round, making birdies on holes 13 and 14 to take a one-shot lead. Koepka birdied the 15th hole to draw level, but Rahm's birdie on the 16th sealed the victory.
Rahm's triumph marks his first major championship victory. He joins Seve Ballesteros, Jose Maria Olazabal, and Sergio Garcia as the only Spaniards to win the Masters.
Other notable performances in the tournament included Scottie Scheffler's third-place finish and Will Zalatoris's fourth-place finish. Tiger Woods finished in 47th place.
